Is a House Really a Home?

[Peyton]

Peyton walked through his family's large mansion with his heart heavy in his chest. How could a house that was so big and jut waiting to be filled be void of the emotion that really made a house a home. He sighed and walked out to the tennis court in the back yard. He sat there and just watch the sun set wonderig where eveything in his life had went wrong. He pondered if life really existed, if anyone really gave a damn or just pretendedthey did so they could get a piece of him. He questioned if it was really to late for him to be saved. It didn't help that both of the girls he had thought he loved looked at him with nothing but a deep pity shining in their eyes. He could tell that his end was neAring quickly. Now if only someone could truly care another him and really try to save him. Tears ran down his face at the impossible thought. If anyone fated hey would be here with him, turnig these hallow walls into the home he so desperately needed right now.

Drew walked down the sidewalk kicking stones. She had nothing. Nothing. There was nothing that she held dear. Not one thing. Drew wished her parents where there. She walked past a mansion. Drew looked at it her eyes full of longing. She had once lived in a mansion with her parents and brother. The good days when there was no pain. Nothing that hurt her. Nothing. What was there to life anymore. Nothing. Everything she once loved is gone now in one small accident. Made by her.

Scarlet knocked on Peyton's doors. She wanted to know how well he recovered since the last time she spoke to him. She knocked on it again wondering why he wasn't answering so quickly. Then she saw Drew walk by. She shrugged her shoulders and kept on knocking.

[Peyton]

Peyton heard someone's insistent knocking on his front door but decided to ignore it. He just wanted to be alone right now and he hoped the person knocking would get the message and leave. Michelle and his father weren't home at the moment and Logan went ou earlier. He was left in the void house trapped in the thoughts that had been drowning him ever since the fight Logan had with their father a few weeks ago. It had driven himto do the steroids so he would never be like his father and say the cruel things he had spat at Logan. His father was sending his brother and only life preserver left to an all boys boarding school to rid him of his faginess. Peyton gave a hallow laugh at the irony of his father sending Logan to an all boys school when he was gay to rid him of it. Before he knew what was happening he was laughing and sobbing hysterically on his bed.

Scarlet busted through the door; which was unlocked surprizingly. She headed straight to the sobbing, laughing nose somewhere in the back of the mansion.

Scarlet found him in his bedroom, her green eyes where with confussion. "Peyton? What's wrong?" She asked, her voice filled with convern. She had no clue what to do for him. It was confussing and strange all at the same time. She had no clue what to say, what to ask. Then it slipped out.

"What happend? Are you hurt?" She asked.

[Peyton]

Peyton looked up at the sound of his name Nd just snarffed at the girl standing in his doorway. "You don't give a damn about me. Nobody does. So what the fuck would you care even if I was hurt which I'm not," he asked with a strange edge to his voice. Nobody had ever seen him like this. He was normally able to play the nice dumb jock and play it well but after their argument something inside him had snapped. When he called his therapist earlier she said it was long awaited. He would start on the same meds his brother was taking next week. After his assuole of a father and michelle came him from the conference next week. That is if his fathe even cared enough to get him the damn mood controllers Whig he probably didn't. The thought had Peyton going from laughing to sobbing in ten seconds flat.

Scarlet could tell that he didn't know that he was saying all of these things out loud. But she knew him, she cared about him. She gave him a long hard look.

"Well I guess you know nothing about me too." She spat at him. "The truth is I do care about you. I care so much it hurts for me to hear you say that! I know you so well that I took you to the hospital for your problems and I dated you. So don't tell me that I don't know you! You told me everything I know! You told me about your parents, couch, Logan, girlfriend, everything!" She seethed.

But if I don't know anything about you then tell me! Tell me your hole life story!

[Peyton]

Peyton barely batted an eyelash by the tears streamed faster and harder. "My mom left us when she got an inkling that Logan was gay. He blames himself but it was my fault for telling her. She packed her bags up and kissed me and Logan goodbye saying she would be back in a few weeks. Eventually we realized she was never coming back. I have all the money in the world and my dad is in high power but it doesn't mean anything! Everyone looks at this house and thinks oh how perfect. Oh look argue senator and his new wife and Peyton they are so perfect. Then there's that wretched gay boy that ruined everything for them but they are still perfect. Well I'm sick of it! Thy should think of him as perfect and no one else. I ruined his family and by him but I didn't hVe the balls to confess it to him. He still blames himself! He tells mennoting anymore ever wince I hit him. He's got a boyfriend I don't even know the name of. I'm lucky if I even gt a high from my dad once a week but he still expects the world from me. Nothing from Logan. He hates him for ruining our picture perfect family. But that just it! Everything in my life is picture perfect not perfect! My family, my girlfriend, my house, even me. Ive lived a lie my whole life and no one seems to give a fucking damn about it! I'm sick of living a lie! I just want it all to end Ruhr mow," he shouted clutching te sides of his head sobbing And gasping for much needed breath. "So no you dont know me. Nobody does and if hey did they wouldn't like who thy see. They would rather swallow my lies then deal win my truth, even Courtney," he sobbed out.

She went over to him and held him. She pushed his head against his chest and tried to make him stop crying. She wanted him to be okay. His story was sad, but she didn't him to blame himself.

[Peyton]

Peyton gave into her hold wishing it were another girls arms around him. The wishes for that were long gone though. He sat there and let himself cry. He was sick and tired if holding back all of his pain so he let some of it go to Scarlet the only person who was here for him now and hopefully forever.

[Scarlet]

"Stop crying. It's all going to be okay, you'll get better; you will see!" She said trying to calm him down. She felt bad, but she was pretty sure he didn't like that.

[Peyton]

Her words were not comforting to him in this moment. All he wNtedto do was leave this place and never come back. But first there was a question on his mind. "Logan and me don't tLk anymore and I know you guys are best friends so can you please tell me the guy he's dating. I just feel so out of the loop in his life," he whispered. It was a simple request it almost sounds like a last one to his ears. Maybe just maybe it was.

[Scarlet]

Scarlet looked at him, tears welling up in her eyes. "His name is Julian, he is a famous star on the hit sickom called 'Something Damaged." She sighed looking at him, seeing how he would take it.

She walked up to his door not opening it just yet. She wlked to the window where she saw Peyton in Scarlets arms."Maybe Hes better without me"she said alittle to herself and outloud. She choked up at the thought but didnt bother leaving the window just stood their and watched. Courtney looked at Peyton again before stepping back from the window.

Peyton allowed a small smile to grace his tear stained face. "Leave it to Logan to find a famous boyfriend. Good for himthough. He above all people deserves someone who makes him happy. This boy mAkes him happy right?" he asked worry clodujng his happiness. "Scar will you tell me verything I've missed about him all these years? Please just please tell me," he begged her softly tears welling in his beautiful green eyes.
