It's Not An Addiction

[Peyton]

Peyton hurried trhough the halls of school with the hall pass from his science teacher. He had to do this quick or he wouldn't be juiced up for practice after school. He couldn't believe he had forgeottn to do this before school started. He was such an idiot sometimes; this was dangerous to do on school grounds with the risk of being caught, but he simply had to. His body was to used to operating with the steriods to try operating without them. His mind flew back to the day with Scarlet when his roid rage had gotten the better of his. Guilt flooded his body, but he quickly pushed it away as he reached the lockeroom doors. He looked around one last time before stepping inside and heading for Coach Martin's office. He found what he was looking for in the locked drawr in his desk; he had a key from coach in case of emergencies like this one. He quickly pulled the bottle of clear liquid and a syringe from the desk. He filled the syringe to the top and stabbed the needle into the vein in his forearm. He pushed gently on the top and he was too focused in his work to hear the gasp at the door.

Courtney was always suspscious of Peyton and his sudden leaving science just got her even more. She slowly fallowed him to the locker room where he was quickly rushing into trying not to be noticed. She looked behind her no one was he meeting someone? No he couldnt have been, so she walked right up to the door and swung it open.

She gasped her hand was over her mouth and she didnt hesitate to grab the nettle and throw onto the floor taking it right out of his body"What the hell do you think your doing? Drugs? You know how much that messes people up Peyton Stop!"she said ocean blue eyes glaring up at him. She literally just got back to school from being sick and is already dealing with drama.

Scarlet walked down the halls and was on her way to the office. She noticed that that Coutney was yelling. She walked into the room and saw Payton looking all caught and Coutnrey too. "Whats going on?"

[Peyton]

Peyton stared at her in shock. Keep calm keep control of yourself. Don't yell at her she doesn't understand and is just trying to help. He let out a deep breath through his nose. His anger was controlled for now. "No Courtney I'm not doing drugs are you crazy?" he asked. "I wouldn't do drugs thats just a supplement to help me heal faster from my concussion," he lied smoothly. he had become a good liar since coach had put him on the stuff. He stared at her defiantly, daring her to argue with him. "So how are you feeling? I've missed you baby," he said with that fake msile he had developed since the steriods. He opened his arms and pulled her into a hug.

"Do you think Im an Idiot! Your done im gonna kick your ass."she hissed,"Do you think doing Steriods helps you be a better freaken football player! Its like cheating Peyton cheating I know your not like that"she said beginning to tear up"I thought you were diffrent"she said blue eyes welling with tears.

She stood wide eyed in the door way. She had no clue what to say. She seemed all fozed up. "W..." She was about to say something but the first letter came out in a whisper. She kinda felt shocked, he was doing drugs?

[Peyton]

Peyton was vibrating with the effort to hold his rage inside of him. He didn't want Scarlet to see him blow up again, not after the first time. "Scarlet this isn't what it looks like I swear<" he said towards the red head. His anger flared as he turned to Courtney. "I'm not big enough Court! I'd get killed if I went out there with no kind of help! Are you seriously doing this?! I can't control it! Coach put me on it and I forgot to take it this morning! I'm just trying to help myself make a life and be a better boyfriend for you! is that so fucking wrong?!" he growled at her. His fists were clenched at his sides and he closed his eyes not wanting to see the tears welling in her. /his eyes bruned with tears of frustration as he turned to Scarlet again. "I'm so sorry for what I did to you, but now the secrets out thanks to Courtney! I'm just the freak with uncontrolable roid rage and emotions," he laughed bitterly.

"Please stop Peyton calm down this is what these drugs do to you please your going to hurt yourself taking these drugs they can kill you just like a head injury can infact quicker, please stop for me, for everyone"she said calmy and almost in a whisper,"I know that your coach put you up to the drugs but you haft to know what they do to you and how they make you diffrent"she said blue eyes still tearing up."I cant loose you again"she said holding back the tears.

Scarlet knew that Steriods where bad for a mans body and it was exacly what it looked like. She still couldn't find her self saying anything. She was more confused then anything. What was she going to do?

[Peyton]

Peyton took a dep breath with tears in his eyes, "I don't care what they do to me they will make me better and Coach said I've been slacking since my head injury. He said if I didn't take these to bulk up and buckle down I would lose my position. Then I would lose you and can't let that happen. He's been monirtoring me! He knows exactly how much I take and he makes sure it isn't too much for me to handle. i have this under control Court it hads nothing to do with you and i would perfer you notget involved. i'm not addicted so you can just calm down and everything can go back to normal," he said looking at the floor. His eyes flickered to the broken syringe. Great she had wasted some of his life preserver and now he would have to take more. He waited anxiously for them to leave.

"No, you wouldnt loose me beacuse you lost your position your going to loose me if you keep doing the drugs. I love you Peyton but...I need you to stop doing them for me"she said slowly she loved him to death but she couldnt have a boyfriend addicted to staroids.

She knew it could lead to more than him yelling at her it could lead to more something more physical than that. She looked down at the needle on the floor than the bottle on the table. She could break it.....well he would probably kill her for doing that..

peyton gaped at her. "I can't just stop Court! I need this for me! Football is all I have besides you! Why can't you just let it go? It's the only thing i'm good at. You have to try and understand," he whispered. His eyes glistened with tears at the thought of quitting. He oucldn't quit his body depended on those steriods. they hgave him that edge he so desperately needed to be good. "Besides Coach Martin would never let me quit even if i had a desire to. Which at this point I don't. But you can't blame me Courtney. please please don't leave me over something as stupid as this! I need you," he said desperately. He had to make her understand, to be on his side and support him on this. He was juts trying to be better for her.

"No you dont need it, you want it. Your coach has filled your head with lies to make you better but what if your grades fall you cant play anymore. Starodis mess up the brain" She said,"Im not upset, Im not mad I just need you to stop."she said but cleared her throat and looked up into his eyes"You look me in the eyes and tell me you want to loose everything for thoes stariods, your friends, your brother, your grades, even your life"she said gazing into his eyes with big pupils.

peyton lifted his eyes to meet hers. "One i'm not addicted and Coach would never lie to me. Two I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be perfect. Three my brain has never been better. Lastly my body needs steriods to function properly as an athlete," he snarked. He just wanted her to stop. He needed to clear his head.He needed a hit of the steriods not her rattling off useless drug facts in his ears. He wasn't addicted his muscles just liked the way steriods helped them out. he would stand his ground even if that meant loosing everything.

"I cant believe you."she said alittle sad."Fine whatever hurt yourself, hurt me! Clearly your drugs mean alot more to you than I do"she said pushing open the boys locker room door before leaving and stomping towards her locker and Rika.

Her hands were curled in the tightest fist her hands could allow her to squeeze. She opened her locker grabbed her books for the end of the day and walked towards Reading.
